Classic VW BuGs SOLD Project, a Vintage 1952 Split Window Zwitter Beetle

THE LATEST! ACCEPTED TO THE GREENWICH CT 2014 CONCOURS D’ ELEGANCE

I recently purchased a new project for Pops and I, a 1952 VW Split Window Zwitter Beetle. This is a 6 month only Beetle that had the oval window dash board and characteristics but still retained the rear “Split” widow from the early years. So it is a hybrid beetle, hence the German word “Zwitter.” The Zwitter lasted from Oct. of ’52 – March of ’53.

I found this car on my internet travels, it was located in MN. All numbers matching body to chassis to motor project.
