What we have here is a 1962 Gulf Blue Beetle we are selling on consignment. The beetle had a restoration done about 10-15 years ago. This is a numbers matching beetle from body, chassis, engine! Engine was rebuilt with a big bore piston and cylinder set, compression is nice and high 140-150psi in each cylinder.
We recently dropped the 1200cc 40hp engine for a top end detail and generator change. New rear main seal with speedi sleeve was installed, along with new engine tar boards and engine bay seals. She is still 6v.
Floor pan patch was done on the rear drivers section here in shop, very solid bug, please see the photos on the gallery I have supplied above. All brake and mechanical components have been gone through for this lil bug to be turnkey and ready for the next owner.
Interior was restored at the time when the bug had the resto 10-15 years ago. Door cards are original, seats, carpet, and headliner were updated. They are in nice shape, headliner does have some stains from sitting. Bug was rarely driven, she sat in a vacation home in upstate NY.
This is not a 100 point show car but a real nice high end driver that is ready for the next owner. Gulf blue is one of my favorite colors along with sea blue from this time period.
