Started back in the mid-1990s, the Fun Cup was founded by Belgian Franz Dubois, a touring-car veteran who wanted to create a cheaper and more social way to race. According to Abdelatif, there are more than 100 customers who have been regularly involved in the Fun Cup since it began. The idea behind it is to allow people of all ages and abilities to participate. “We have had everyone from F1 drivers to rally drivers join us at these events,” Abdelatif says. “We’ve had fathers and their sons, fathers and their daughters, corporate groups and others who have all come to race in the Fun Cup.”
