Classic VW BuGs VW Reveals new Version of the Iconic Microbus Type 2

The iconic VW camper van has been reborn, this time powered purely by electricity.

Called the I.D. Buzz, it’s an eight-seat revamp of the much-loved Microbus, made from the 1950s to the 1970s, which Volkswagen claims will be for a ‘new epoch of mobility’ when it goes on sale around 2022.

Showcased for the first time at the Detroit Motor Show this week, it’s the second model in the forthcoming Volkswagen I.D. range the German brand hopes will repair its damaged reputation in the aftermath of the diesel emissions cheating scandal.
