Classic VW BuGs How to Steam Clean Power Wash Blast your Vintage Beetle Chassis

Are you performing a body off resto and want to clean your Vintage VW chassis?  Well there are multiple ways of doing this;

– In the beginning, we used to do it the CRUDE way, spray a bunch of engine degreaser all over the chassis then hose it down, but we still had to go in and scrape the sludge that was stubborn to come off.

– The other way is to media blast the chassis with sand or walnut shell.  I don’t like this because the medium will get caught in all the wrong places, axles, king and link pin areas etc.  As much as you hose it down later, there are still remnants left over.

– Or… the fastest and safest way?  Steam power washing.  Yes you would have to rent a unit to do this, or borrow a friends unit, but in the end it saves you a ton of time and money and the job looks great.
